Fruity yogurt ice cream that is not too sweet and contains simple ingredients such as yogurt and peaches is best made as frozen yogurt. Today we’ll show you how to make your own delicious fruit ice cream quickly and easily in 15 minutes without any preparation.

Instructions for our delicious peach yogurt ice cream recipe, which is extra fruity and creamy, made with simple ingredients. Peaches Fruit

Peach frozen yogurt is the American summer answer to German Pfirsich-Joghurteis, and both rely on the same thing: fruit picked at the point where it is almost too soft to slice. A peach that is still firm has acid but not enough sugar, and freezing dulls sweetness even further.

Georgia and South Carolina peaches hit their stride from late June through August, and that is the window worth using. Whole milk yogurt keeps the texture creamy rather than icy, and a squeeze of lemon lifts the peach flavor so it does not flatten out in the freezer. No ice cream maker needed.

Ingredients

  • 200 g whipped cream
  • 400 g yogurt plain whole milk
  • 10 g lemon juice
  • 35 g powdered sugar
  • 5 g glucose powder alternatively 5g more powdered sugar
  • 400 g peaches, canned from the can – let the juice drain out

Instructions

  1. First put whipped cream, yogurt and juice of a freshly squeezed lemon in a tall mixing bowl and mix well with a hand blender.
  2. Then slowly add the powdered sugar and mix.
  3. If you want the ice cream to be a little creamier, you can add glucose powder (dextrose). If you don't have any dextrose powder at home, you can also add 5g of powdered sugar.
  4. Blend the yogurt-cream mixture briefly with a hand blender until a homogeneous mixture is formed and then add the peaches (without juice and hard stone residue).
  5. Now mix the peach-yogurt-cream mixture well for about 2-3 minutes until a consistent mixture has formed and there are already slight air bubbles from the hand blender.
  6. Then pour this mixture into the ice cream maker and chill and mix according to the ice cream maker's instructions.
  7. Depending on the ice cream maker, the cooling time and production time of the delicious and simple yogurt ice cream takes around 10-20 minutes.
  8. Pour the finished ice cream into beautiful bowls, decorate with fresh fruit, sauces or Smarties and crumbles and enjoy.
Tip Tip: The ice cream can easily be stored in the freezer for several days afterwards. Please note: If you want to eat the ice cream again afterwards, it will take a little longer to defrost (compared to ice cream from the supermarket), but it will taste all the better for it.

Peach yogurt ice cream recipe with little sugar

For us, fruit ice cream is one of the absolute classics among ice cream recipes. So it’s only natural that we started looking for the best peach yogurt ice cream recipe right after our classic yogurt ice cream.

Why did we think of peaches first? Similar to our simple cream cake, you can use canned peaches here. We always have them to hand at home and, as with yogurt ice cream, you can make fresh, creamy ice cream on the fly in just a few minutes.

The peach yogurt ice cream recipe is based on our yogurt ice cream recipe. This makes the sweetness of the peaches a little milder and has a refreshing effect. Today we’re showing you the delicious peach yogurt ice cream recipe, which is quick and easy to prepare and really always works.

The best base for creamy ice cream with fruit…

Best yogurt ice cream recipe with fruit

You could say that yogurt ice cream is perfect when combined with fruit. Whether you like it plain and want to garnish it with fruit, or whether you add the fruit directly to the ice cream mixture, both go really well.

The slight acidity of the yoghurt goes very well with sweet fruit and balances it out a little. When it comes to fruit ice cream, sorbet or yogurt ice cream always tastes the freshest and never too sweet. That’s why we often make this peach yogurt ice cream recipe from the ice cream maker at home.

Creamy homemade yogurt ice cream

There is nothing tastier than freshly made ice cream that is creamy and smooth. We have found the best recipe and would like to share it with you today. Of course, you can always add more sugar, but you don’t need a lot of sweetness for a creamy peach yogurt ice cream recipe.

If you like it even creamier, you can add a banana to the recipe, but then you can taste it right away. We prefer it without banana, but we would like to introduce you to our delicious banana ice cream recipe next.

This creamy peach yogurt ice cream recipe also works very well with other types of fruit. You can use fresh fruit or defrosted fruit, such as strawberries, raspberries, mangoes and bananas. However, a yogurt ice cream recipe is not for people who do not like or cannot tolerate the tart taste of milk.

Fruit ice cream with or without an ice cream maker

We prefer to make our fruity peach yogurt ice cream recipe in the ice cream maker. This makes it really soft and smooth. However, you should remove all the stones from the peaches beforehand.

You can also make the ice cream without an ice cream maker, but you should then take the ice cream out of the freezer every 30 minutes and whip it again as it freezes so that the ice cream is creamy. An ice cream machine does this and is also much quicker. For us, the ice cream is ready to eat within 10 minutes in the ice cream maker.

If you are using canned peaches for this recipe, please remember to drain the peaches well beforehand. The drier they are, the fewer ice crystals you will have in the ice cream later. I like to put the peaches in the fridge to drain, so that the ice cream is prepared even faster with the cold ingredients.

Have fun trying out our ice cream recipe. Feel free to add different toppings to the ice cream. It also tastes great with chocolate chips or small colorful Smarties as a topping.

Incidentally, a scoop of this ice cream tastes great with our fresh waffles as a topping. You can prepare the ice cream in advance and then take it out of the freezer as required. It is best to let it defrost for 20-30 minutes before you want to serve the ice cream.

I think this recipe has room for improvement. It has a very subtle peach flavor and could be a bit sweeter. I’ll keep tweaking it. It is refreshing, though!

Thanks for your feedback, Steffi. The sweetness always depends on your own taste and preference, and partly on the peaches too. I’m sure you’ll find your perfect mix. Good luck with the recipe.
